Cape Town starts the Covention Center expansion project.
Cape Town has started a project that is sure to change the face of the foreshore. They have made their first purchase of land for the expansion of the Cape Town International Convention Centre. The land was bought from Naspers.
The renovations and additions are going to add around 10,000 meters squared to the CTICC.
The total cost of the project, and development opportunities that it will create in the area of Cape Town is around five billion.
The construction is planned for completion in 2015. 3 Years from now. The estimate cost of the project is R700million
This year was a successful year for the CTICC generating over R14million despite the global recession.
