Deputy Minister of Economic Development Resigns

The Presidency has announced that Deputy Minister of Economic Development Enoch Godongwana, has resigned to pursue personal interests.

He informed President Zuma of his intention early in December but President Jacob Zuma asked him to stay on until mid-January, the statement said.

Godongwana’s final day will be Monday, January 16.

President Zuma said the resignation is a huge loss given Godongwana’s expertise, skills and experience.

Godongwana became infamous for his involvement with Canyon Springs.
