The South African Council of Shopping Centres annual event for the Retail Design & Development Awards will be taking place on Monday 2 July 2012. The evaluation scorecard features merits such as excellent design resolution, environmental response, innovative solutions & sustainability as well as an overall development objective. The awards cover four different categories of retail development, as well as an overall award selected from the top performers in each category.
Last year’s overall Design and Development Award went to Mall of the North in Polokwane, Limpopo, designed by MDS Architecture for co-developers and owners Resilient Property Income Fund, Moolman Group and Flanagan & Gerard Property Development and Investment.
