Riverlands Cape Town - a game changing mixed-use development

Riverlands, Cape Town, Observatory

RIVERLANDS CAPE TOWN IS SET TO BE A GAME-CHANGING MIXED-USE HUB IN OBSERVATORY CONTRIBUTING TOWARDS CREATING A MORE SUSTAINABLE, INCLUSIVE AND PROSPEROUS CITY.

The development is currently unfolding on a 15-hectare plot where the anchor tenant will be none other than e-commerce giant Amazon. Adding to the appeal are Devil's Peak and river views.

Development Overview

The plot will consist of two areas, namely:

  • - Precinct 1: Stretching 60,0000 m2
  • - Precinct 2 (Zola): Stretching 90,0000 m2

Natural Surrounds

An aesthetic separation between the two precincts will take the form of a welcoming Eco Park measuring 90 metres in width and 300 metres in length.

Both precincts will be flanked by a landscaped swale on the one side and the rehabilitated Liesbeek Riverine on the other, with the Eco Park forming a corridor between the swale and riverine.

In summary, there will be a total of 60% open space with 6 kilometres of pathways for walking, running and cycling.
